Peace!
Growing up, home was hard to hold, moving back and forth between my single mom in Flatbush and my Jamaican grandparents in far out Queens. When my mom got me a burnt orange iPod nano, I fell in love with Green Day, Lupe Fiasco, and Outkast. Music kept me grounded through long train rides and constant change. I started rapping when I was thirteen, as a way to understand myself. I’ve been blessed to build lifelong friendships doing this music thing. I do it for hip hop, for my family, for that kid on the train.
